Water Safety

We live in a community with many lakes.  Swimming, boating, water skiing - what a great way to enjoy the summer!  Be water safe by following these water safety tips:

  • Learn to swim and keep practicing your skills
  • Always ask a parent or adult supervising you for permission BEFORE getting in the water
  • Always make sure there is a Lifeguard on duty or a parent or adult watching before you go swimming.
  • Always use the BUDDY SYSTEM - never swim or go boating by yourself.
  • Always wear sunscreen while you're in the water.
  • Always wear a lifejacket in a boat or raft or on a tube near water.  You can wear one while swimming too!

Swimming is fun
