Crime Prevention Academy

The Crime Prevention Academy course is a comprehensive crime prevention training that is available to all citizens of Greater Sudbury who are interested in learning how to protect their families and homes. The monthly workshops will cover such topics as how to prevent becoming a victim of fraud, identity theft and burglary. Participants will also learn how to streetproof their children, Cyberspace safety and protecting their homes through environmental design. Other topics range from road rage, vehicle collisions, common neighbourhood problems, safety at work to traveling alone.

The Crime Prevention Academy course is free and opened to citizens from all walks of life .Crime Prevention Academy participants will find the course valuable in assisting them to develop safe and secure habits and lifestyles. Participants will also be able to share their knowledge with family, friends and colleagues or might want to use their knowledge in organizing workshops and awareness sessions in their own neighbourhoods and communities.
